Check out this video of Green Man brewery on Buxton Avenue in downtown Asheville. It shows off construction at the brewery, which started last fall. The construction includes a three-story building for packaging, a retail shop and a rooftop beer garden.
Green Man is located in the heart of Asheville’s South Slope aka the Beer Slope, which over the past couple of years has developed a critical mass of craft breweries. Twin Leaf, Burial Beer, the Wicked Weed Funkitorium, Asheville Pizza & Brewing and Hi-Wire Brewing are all located within a few blocks of one another. (Sake-maker Ben’s Tune-Up is also in the area.) And Catawba Brewing is preparing to open its Asheville boutique brewery on the slope in the next few weeks.
There’s more development coming, too, including residential apartments and new retail space.
