Update on the Avett Brothers

A quick update on the Avett Brothers, who are coming to Ashvegas in December for a two-night stand at the Orange Peel.

First, a commentor on their boards says the boys have finished recording The Gleam, Part 2, which will be released in the spring. The Gleam was an EP the band put out last fall and it had some really nice tunes.

Second, it sounds like a fan-driven photo exhibit is coming together in Greensboro. It’s being put up at the Green Bean (314 S. Elm St.) in conjunction with the band’s performance at G’boro’s War Memorial Auditorium. It’s been organized by Pete Anvil, who has been great about getting it all organized.
