Two new craft breweries now open in Asheville: Oysterhouse and Burial Beer

Share

Two new craft breweries are now open in Asheville.

Oyster House Brewing officially opened Tuesday on Haywood Road in West Asheville. Oyster House has been around for awhile, but it was formerly located inside the Lobster Trap restaurant downtown. Now Billy Klingel is out on his own. The space is beautiful, and folks were stacked two deep last night trying to get to the bar to sample his delicious brews.

Burial Beer Co. had its grand opening party this past Saturday down on the South Slope. They’re newcomers located at 40 Collier Ave. Try them out – they, too, are making some delicious brews.

And the beat goes on for Beer City USA.

West Asheville’s first craft brewery? Have we already forgot about Altamont?

But of course!

While the vibe is kind of cool, their beer sucks. So yes, first craft brewery would be right

I agree, Altamont’s beer is not very good.

You must not be a fan of a Pale Ale or an IPA. I’d put those two brews up against anyone else in town.

Ahhh, freely-posted opinions. What a great country.
