From Shindig on the Green and the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival:
Asheville Holiday Parade spectators are encouraged to bring new or gently used toys, for all age groups, with them to the parade on Saturday, which will be collected by Folk Heritage Committee volunteers along the parade route. Look for the big SHINDIG banner preceding our float (entry #19). We would love to help to put smiles on the faces of some of the children on Christmas morning who were affected by Superstorm Sandy.
