Press release:
No, it’s not a war threat from the Middle East, it’s the return of “the Christmas show to see in Asheville!,” –Tony Kiss, Asheville Scene. Starring Tracey Johnston-Crum, voted WNC’s Best Actress in the Mountain Xpress’ Annual Best of WNC Poll!
The crazed and lovable Bernstein family are back, just as drunken, dysfunctional and spectacular as ever–and for the first time ever they will be performing on the main stage at Asheville Community Theatre! “…we…are…so…so…oh….oh…ah…oh my god!” Judy Bernstein said via telephone while entertaining a male fan.
“We’re certainly excited to have the Bernstein’s back again, and to be at ACT,” producer Chall Gray said. “We know that Katie Anne Towner (returning as director) is going to put together a fabulous show of sketches, songs and surprises, and in fact, Baby Jesus told me personally that this year he will make a surprise appearance just for Asheville audiences that they won’t forget!”
Due to the limited run advance ticket sales are very strongly recommended (last year over 200 people were turned away from the show!) and, as usual, the Bernstein’s are not even remotely suitable for children.
December 12-14 at Asheville Community Theatre. 7:30 p.m. nightly, 10:00 p.m. late shows on Friday and Saturday evenings.
