There’s a heady discussion happening over in the comments of this MountainX story about the newly opened Rocket Club. The club will be in the spotlight this weekend with the POPAsheville show.
Here, the Rocket Club defends itself from an attack. The attacker’s comment was taken down:

If you have a problem with us, please address it with us personally. My name is Ken, and I would like to say that I’m happy to live in Leicester (pronounced Lester). If you choose not to come into our establishment that is your choice, but please tell me who you are Avilletender, and where you work, so that I can return the favor.
We chose to move here, and put a huge amount of time and money into an empty building that was a hang out for drug dealers and prostitutes. Ask Zen from above, he lives 4 doors away. He likes us, and is thrilled that we have put our lives into something that makes the community better.
What have you done to improve the cultural aspect of Asheville? If you have worked hard and made something for yourself, and the community, great. If you have only spoken ill about people behind a mask of fake name, I feel sorry for you.
No we weren’t born in the area (Kevin was born in the south though). I was raised on a farm in Northern Illinois, surrounded by rural hard working people, and listening to Willie Nelson.
