We caught these guys at the corner of Patton and Biltmore down on Pack Square Saturday night. They’re a Chapel Hill band called The Never. The dudes had some sweet harmonies. We talked a little, and one guy told me they played the children’s bookstore Spellbound because they’ve got this cool children’s book that goes hand-in-hand with their new album, Antarctica, which was released this summer. The band’s guitarist did 40 original oil paintings to illustrate the little storybook.
These guys were really cool. And y’all know we heart all things Chapel Thrill. The Never plays tonight (Sun, Oct. 1) at Ragtime Vintage Clothing – yes, a clothing store. Check ’em.
