A very special Mother’s Day performance by John McEuen, the string Wizard from Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and his sons at Asheville Music Hall 7pm on Sunday May 13th.

Celebrating the release of their first album together, “The McEuen Sessions” while paying homage to the 40th anniversary concert of the release of one of the greatest albums of Americana Music “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”, the Asheville Music Hall on May 13th is a night not to be missed.

John’s renowned talents on banjo, guitar, fiddle, and mandolin combined with his son’s Jonathan and Nathan’s musical talents, the audience will be taken on a journey from present to past. This event will be full of music and stories rarely heard onstage, and will showcase the critical acclaim of their new album as well as recapture the highlight hits of the 46 Nitty Gritty Dirt Band years.

Here’s what others are saying about the new album:
“The McEuen Sessions. Is a must have for lovers of good music. The trio features John McEuen, a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and his two exceptional sons, Jonathan and Nathan.. All three share a common bond and vision to create some of the most exciting music. Jonathan and Nathan write lyrics that are both bold and provocative with lush melodies, combined with John’s exciting musicianship you are transfixed into a world of delightful pleasure.”

thanks for the nice mention! this will be a great night for us in one of my favorite places – Asheville! Dirt Band style bluegrass, sure.. but our own too. And songs from other genre.. and … well… check it out. I’ll do some of my NGDB favorites, but lots of songs from the new album and Circle album too.
