Store manager Michelle Patterson said Tuesday that the company plans to hire 80 to 86 employees to fill a mix of part-time and full-time positions. The company is not hiring department heads, but is looking for all kinds of specialists in just about every other job category, she said.
Employees should apply online at The Fresh Market in advance, Patterson said, but people will also be able to apply online at the job fair, which will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fresh Market plans to open its new store, which is in a former Harris Teeter location on Hendersonville Road, on March 5.

“The Fresh Market plans to open about 85 people in advance of its store opening on March 5.”
That’s a horrible way to introduce yourself to a community.
Yeah Frank – Bringing some much-needed jobs to Asheville – how horrible!
Hey dummy, he is making fun of a typo:”…open up about 85 people…”
(Sigh) Oh, forget it.
Frank, that’s my typo.
That gave me a much needed laugh the other afternoon!
Oh, goody, let’s see what’s in there!
My guess is quinoa and craft beer – LOL
Add oatmeal and…Asheville Haggis!
