The Foreign Orange seeks funding for debut album, film project just outside Asheville

Here are the details about The Foreign Orange project, an Asheville art collective that wants to record an album and shoot a film of the process. More about The Foreign Orange on Kickstarter:

The Foreign Orange is independently recording it’s debut album at a studio set up in a cabin outside of Asheville, NC. While this process is happening, a very talented and diverse group of musicians from around the region are going to be gathering here for 45 days to contribute to the new album and record an EP of all the collaborations of all the artists. They will bring their original content and be able to collaborate and record with many different styles they normally wouldn’t have at their disposal. The thought of gathering all these musicians together in this one place for an extended amount of time became very appealing to filmmaker Steve DiGiovanni from Optic Scene. He proposed to do an artistic documentary on the entire event including recording sessions, the collaboration, interviews, music videos, and the every day interactions. We will release a 3 disc pack including The Foreign Orange album, the collaborative EP and the film.
