I still have the original 45 of this song, given to me by my father. He remember the filming in Asheville, and I remember seeing the film in the theaters with my parents. I remember talking with Red Hoyle about the scene that was filmed in Hoyle’s Office Supplies, and he said that after the scene was shot, Robert Mitchum asked if there was anything they could do for him for letting them use his building. Mitchum had the film’s carpenters turn the set into an actual office, and Hoyle used it for years. I also remember taking with Russ Offhaus (Farmer Russ) about his bit part in the movie as a loud drunk. Mitchum was not happy with being upstaged by Russ in the scene!
