T.V. Eye DVD liquidation sale starts Friday

Downtown’s indie video store T.V. Eye recently made a controversial decision to close, with owner Marc McCloud saying that a downtown dominated by tourists rather than locals wasn’t an environment that boded well for his business.

So  T.V. Eye is closing (West Asheville’s Orbit DVD, also owned by McCloud is very much still in business), and that means discounted DVDs.

From the page for the T.V. Eye Liquidation Sale:

The mother of all liquidation sales begins FRIDAY, September 28th. EVERY dvd and blu-ray on the shelf will be $12.99. This includes COMPLETE tv box sets, Criterion films, Disney classics, new releases, horror, foreign, adult and more! The price will drop $1 each week until we sell out or hit $1. There are over 18,000 movies in stock so there is something for everyone.

Are you a member? Then you get FIRST DIBS on Thursday, September 27th!

All fixtures, equipment and posters are also for sale.

Thank you again for a wonderful 5 1/2 years!
