Stereospread to host series of synthpop concerts at The Millroom in Asheville

Fans of electronic music have found a new home in The Millroom, which has already hosted many successful music events since its opening last May. Now, the Millroom and local synthpop act Stereospread have teamed up to bring a series of synthpop concerts to Asheville that will feature the area’s best electronic pop artists. Included in the series are Asheville locals The Jellyrox, oddSTAR, Alligator Indian, and The Volt Per Octaves. The series will also feature acts from nearby Atlanta and Charlotte, including Frisky Monkey, Divine Love Mission, and Hudson K. More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.!

In addition to bringing synthpop to Asheville, The Asheville Synthpop series has philanthropic aims: a significant portion of proceeds from the series will be donated to the Asheville-based Bob Moog Foundation.!

The 2014 concert dates for the series are April 8th, April 21st, May 27th, and June 17th. Concerts are open to patrons 18 and up and will begin at 9pm. There is a $7 cover charge. More information will be available at www.ashevillesynthpop.com.!
