South Slope update: Chrysler building development plans to be discussed

A public notice about the Asheville Planning and Zoning Comission’s meeting on June 5 includes this agenda item:

LEVEL II
Review of a Level II site plan for the project identified as the Chrysler Building located at 162 Coxe Avenue. The project proposes to develop a parking area, add streetscape improvements and develop 24 units and office space within the existing 27,391 square foot building. The property owners are Conabeer, LLC and Coxe Avenue, LLC and the contact is Mark Wilson, ASLA. The property is identified in the Buncombe County Tax records as PINs 9648-38-4172 and 9648-38-4263. This project is coming along as several other new businesses are planning to open on Asheville’s South Slope. Some background here and here and here.
