This has been such a weird week with the holiday and all. What day is it? We don’t know, but here we go…
Not quite 13 minutes of nonstop news
WLOSers fell a good 45 seconds short on their “13 minutes of nonstop news” last night at 11. First of all, much of the news was “filler” reports that weren’t local. Then they fell short. And 30 or 45 seconds – that’s about 10 TV stories for WLOS. So they dropped a lot of news.
Radio report: Ashvegas cops shoot somebody
We take a time out from telling you the TV news to tell you what we heard on the radio – that an Ashvegas cop stopped a motorist about 11 last night, then ending up shooting somebody. That person is in critical condition. We’re sure WLOS will follow up on this, probably with about the same level detail as we have here, but there it is.
Hendersonville grows up
Hooterville City Council voted to allow taller buildings in some parts of their downtown. This has been a controversy swirling for months. Now it’s done. Those opposed don’t want Hooterville to go condo like Ashvegas. Those in favor say building upward will reduce sprawl and the growth is coming, period, so deal with it. The change – building height, now limited to 64 feet, can go up to 80 feet.
In other news…
