Street preacher controversy
A bunch of preachers went to a Hendersonville City Council meeting Thursday night to complain about an ordinance that says anybody who wants to hawk on the street has to get a permit. A preacher from Alabama or somewhere had been warned a couple of times to get the permit and he refused. He ended up getting arrested and that has sparked the controversy.

Russ “Beefcake” Bowen, looking slick as a Sunday preacher himself, went to Hooterville to listen to the pastors complain about their Constitutional rights being trampled. City Council just listened, then moved on. Russ said the council has no plans to change the rules.

It’s cold outside
Just a couple of weeks ago we were setting record high temperatures. Remember that? Now we could be setting a series of record low temps, and farmers are worried about their crops. Gardeners are pulling everything inside.

Mike “Cuervo” Cuevas said it was supposed to get down to 28 overnight Thursday, which would tie the record low. Cuevas forecast 24 for the low Saturday; 20 for the low Sunday and 23 for the low Monday. Damn that’s chilly!
