That’s what Gordon says over at Scrutiny Hooligans. And I believe him.

His opposition to Lumbee recognition will hurt him. 50,000 votes in this state is a bloc many politicians don’t want to offend. Not since Jess Helms has NC had a senator to oppose federal tribal Lumbee recognition, and that was a senator that had no problem buddying around with Eastern Cherokee Chief Ed Taylor who publicly referred to the Lumbees by a racial slur.

Someone at ScruHoo suggested that John Snow would be a bankable candidate for the 11th District.

I have speculated that he would run for the senate after i ran in to him on the Matt Mittan show. He had come a long way and new his stuff. Much more than when I have met with Burr. I think he will run unopposed in the primary due to the national dem support he already has and will continue to gain. He will also handily defeat Burr. However, hard to say who will pull off a victory to fill his seat.
