Rebecca Powell has a food truck so new in Asheville that it hasn’t even been painted – it’s just white.
Powell’s truck is called The Meltdown. She says she named it that because she took some divorce settlement cash – what she described as her first meltdown – and decided to do what she always wanted to do – start a food truck. One meltdown deserves another, she reasoned.
Powell is born and bred in Asheville. She says her people are all from up Madison County way. And she says she’s looking forward to getting her food truck up and running.
Powell’s offerings are straightforward, simple sandwiches. She says she hasn’t found her “honey spot” yet, and is looking at parking at various spots around Asheville. Keep an eye out for Rebecca and consider supporting her new endeavor.
