Open job calls set for Salvage Station venue in Asheville on April 19, 21

Looking forward to The Salvage Station opening. Press release here from loyal reader Matthieu:

We are looking to hire about 20-30 people, and possibly more. Jobs are tough to come across in this town for some people, and we are happy that we can help some people with that problem.

We will be holding two open job calls on April 19th and 21st from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will be conducting in-person interviews with each applicant, and will follow up with secondary interviews the day after. People that cannot make the interview days can apply at

Day 1: Open Job Call (Day 1)
Day 2: Open Job Call (Day 2)

We are very excited to get things rolling in 2016. Before we open, we are looking for a number of great people to join our staff in several different positions. Only responsible, professional, and courteous people should apply. Restaurant/Bar experience is preferred, but not a requirement.

We are looking to fill these positions:
– Front of House: Servers, Cocktailers, Bartenders, hosts, food runners
– Back of House: Cook, Expo, Dishwasher, and General Staff
– Misc: Site Maintenance Staff, Landscaping, and Event Support Staff

Does this apply to you? Come on down to Salvage Station on April 19th or 21st between 11am and 4pm to apply with us in person. We are looking forward to meeting all of you.

Our 2,500 person capacity restaurant and bar venue will feature a laid back atmosphere coupled with unique and entertaining events weekly. Whether you are looking for a casual night out with friends or a venue for that special event, the Salvage Station is the perfect place for you.

they did a good job converting it from a salvage/wrecker/dump to a space where the public can get a bite to eat and just enjoy themselves.
