Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse coming to Biltmore Village in Asheville

The all-knowing @SocialLifeAVL tweets that Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is coming to Biltmore Village, across from the BP on the same side of Hendersonville Road as the estate entrance, a tidbit I reported last year. Glad to see it’s coming to fruition.

I thought I was going to have to make a trip to Greenville or Charlotte to get one of their delicious steaks. Thanks for coming. I do like to support local restaurants, and I do when the food is good, but the steaks here are out of this world!!

This post ties in exactly with Asheville not being unique comments from an earlier post decrying gentrification.

Boooo! What happened to supporting local restuarants Ashevegas ? I am disappointed with your comments. And I wonder what vegetarian options they will offer? LOL …. But I guess it fits perfecting with Starbucks … another biz I will never venture into in the Village!

*Are* there any locally-owned steak houses in the Ruth's Chris price range, though?

I heard this a year ago. There is a great open spot near the Village and it might push some competition around there and hopefully the Red Stagg will up it's game. No pun intended. Gee for a poor economy lots of good chances and developments going on. Asheville remains hot.

Glad to see it's coming to fruition? What about all the locally owned steak houses/restaurants that it will put out of business? At least be consistent with your criticism of "corporate" chains coming to Asheville.
