He gives me the heebie-geebies, but I do have to agree that he’s good at what he does.

I’ll say it like this; Russ is the only reporter/anchor at the station that has played Guitar Hero with the production crew. We hated to see him leave the weekend shift.
This is the last I’ll say about this, but the "some time" I spent around him was a couple of months at least, (not by choice) and I would not ever count him as one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. He can be nice when he wants to be, I guess, and I will not dispute the fact that he is a good reporter, but he is not someone I would want to be around for any significant length of time.

Apparently Wild Muskrat has Russ confused with someone else, or "some time" consisted of about five minutes when Russ was having a bad day. Besides living up to all the well deserved praise here for his work, he’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.

Muskrat you sound like someone who has a bone to pick. Russ is known to let people know when they haven’t done their job. Sounds like to me you might be one of those he called out. Cause everything I’ve seen is he’s genuine and nice, but calls it like he sees it.

Russ is a good reporter and quite possibly one of WLOS’s best, but I have spent some time around him, and a nice guy he is not. From what I’ve seen, he’s very, very polite when interviewing folks and chatting with the public, but the minute he is away from them it’s a different story.

Russ is a very good, fair-minded and thorough reporter…I hope they do appreciate him over there.

Russ Bowen, double chin.

I see a lot of reporters out on the story. Russ knows what he’s doing and just "gets it", He’s also a nice guy. I see many WLOS reporters who pay no attention to what’s going on. I wonder if WLOS knows what they’ve got with Bowen.
