Roots Cafe is already one of my favorite lunch spots down in the River Arts District. Now there’s a new artist studio opening up right next door. Welcome them!

the building is located on the corner of w. haywood and riverside drive (entrance on w. haywood.) we are right along the railroad tracks.
from west asheville: take haywood road toward downtown, make a left on craven just before the bridge, continue on, cross riverside drive, and ours is the second building on the right.
from downtown: take haywood road toward west asheville, make a right on roberts just before the bridge, continue down roberts and veer left, cross the rr tacks, and we’re the first building on the left.

Hey Ash – Hope you’re well! Hey check this out – I went by Roots this a.m. for one of their killer breakfast biscuits and it’s closed! They had a sign on the door thanking the community but they have decided to close down their "retail" operation (i.e. cafe). The sign said that they wanted to continue growing the wholesale operation and their catering business. Bummer!!!:(
