From Pisgah Brewing’s page on FB:
To all of our fans, supporters and lovers of great beer: Pisgah Brewing Company will see a change in day-to-day management starting immediately. We are very excited to welcome co-founder and co-owner, Dave Quinn, back to Pisgah Brewing. We are sad to see co-founder Jason Caughman leave, and we wish him all the best in his new ventures. We look forward to continuing to grow as a great product and venue in the Western North Carolina region.
Tony Kiss, the Asheville Beer Guy, reported the change earlier on Wednesday:
There has been a huge shakeup at Pisgah Brewing with co-founder/co-owner Jason Caughman suddenly out. His partner David Quinn, who ended his day-to-day involvement at Pisgah in 2010, has returned. This came down Tuesday and Caughman was immediately gone. He still has an ownership stake in Pisgah, but will soon be ending that as well. He did not want to go into detail on what happened but told me he is trying to keep a positive attitude and is looking for another brewery job. Caughman is a superb brewer and has been the face of Pisgah and we hate to see him go. We are also curious to see what this means for Pisgah’s operation. Quinn is skilled as a brewer, and helped put Pisgah on the beer map.

Many sides to every story, folks.
Can’t imagine what this blow must be like to such a legendary bloated ego. Wonder how he’ll support that rockstar lifestyle now?
Perhaps this means they will change the fact that they have the worst customer service of any brewery in WNC?
Hate to see Jason go, but with Dave back that is Great! He was the founder of many Pisgah’s great beers and was a definitely missed creative force when he left. With him back I highly expect some great new things to come from Pisgah!
Karma, Caughman. Karma.
The folks that work at Pisgah are the back bone. Jason will be missed but I have no doubt that Pisgah will continue to put out awesome beer, host great bands, and be an integral thread in our local tapestry. You guys ROCK!
Holy Shit! This is really weird. This is gonna be interesting to watch and see how it shakes out!
