Gage Talent, which is sponsoring the first Asheville Fashion Week, held an open call on Sunday for anyone interested in participating in the first-year event. It will be held Aug. 5-8 in Asheville and will include an emerging model and emerging designer showcase.
Jaime Hemsley, president of Gage Talent, said Sunday that her agency is planning to open an Asheville office in coming weeks. The agency already serves Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville, Atlanta and Charlotte.

I’ve been to Fashion Week in NYC. Should be interesting to see what an Asheville Fashion Week will be like. Maybe it will be easier to get tickets?
