Gregutt, the newspaper’s senior editor, has worked alongside Publisher Jeff Fobes for the past 25 years, back when Fobes started his Greenline publication, which morphed into Mountain Xpress. Gregutt has been described to me as an editing wizard, and I’d agree having worked with him. Gregutt was only in the office one day a week, but he was an excellent wordsmith who questioned countless young reporters and made their stories better.
Gregutt, with Fobes, embody the institutional knowledge of the newspaper. He will be missed. All the best to Gregutt.

Arts Journal??
That’s amusing.
Any chance this will get MX back to its roots of investigative reporting instead of being an an arts journal with little more than a community calendar?
Looks like the ad is back up, all.

Looks like, Jen. Pick up a copy of the print edition and you’ll see the ad.
