One World Brewing, a new brewery coming together below Farm Burger on Patton Avenue in downtown Asheville, is looking at opening in April. From One World’s recent post on FB:

We’ve been busy at One World Brewing! We will have lots to offer once we open the doors this spring:

-“Paradise” Coconut Porter 7.2% -a chocolate coconut truffle in a glass…
-“Whale of a Tale” Extra Pale Ale 8.8% – a whale of a Pale, voluminously hopped with Centennial and Amarillo
-“Inner Th-IPA” 6.6% -smooth and light with a clean finish
-“To the Head” Imperial Red IPA 9.2% -deep red hues with a spicy hop finish
-“Mammoth” Strong Ale 8.6% -big Belgian Strong Ale with fruity notes
-English Brown Ale 5.2% -light brown with some red hues, malty
-“Hopsplosion” India Dark Ale 7.4% -looks like a Porter, tastes like a hopsplosion in your mouth
-“Pucker Up” Berliner Weisse 4.8% (German Sour) -green apple sourpatch candy comes to mind
-“New Moon” American Stout 7% -coffee and dark chocolate notes with a big hop finish
-“On the Sly” IPA 6.8% – very hop-forward, citrusy and flowery with a little spice

…and many, many more to come!

One World Brewing has a unique concept. Here’s the description, from Mountain Xpress:

Jason Schultz will be opening One World Brewing in the basement of the Leader Building. (The main floor will be Farm Burger, a venture of his brother-in-law, Jason Mann.) In addition to brewing for Farm Burger, One World will offer a unique proposition to Asheville beer drinkers. It plans to sell beer to everyone, but hopes to be a “community-supported brewery” by offering “memberships,” which will include a set number of growler fills per month and discounts on pints.
