The store Worthwhile in downtown Ashvegas is empty, its shelves barren. It sold expensive, funky clothes and candles and soaps. There was always a cute little dog in the window. Guess that wasn’t enough.

I used to live on King St in Charleston and I believe Worthwhile is still there. I often worry that AV’s downtown will unfortunately follow the Charleston pattern and become completely malled over by chains. The creep up here seems much slower and there is more community sentiment to keep GAP, Banana Republic at bay than there was in downtown Charleston. I hope so at any rate.
WTF? I was there my last week in AVegas & there was NO MENTION of this. I would be depressed if I was still there. There IS one in Charleston or maybe not anymore… barooooooo!
