Here’s the press release on the brewhouse arrival:

This is the latest information available from the transportation company hired by our Brewhouse vessel builders to deliver the vessels to 91 Craven Street. The logistics around loading and transporting the vessels will impact arrival times and dates. We will release additional information as it becomes available.

WHY: New Belgium Brewing is receiving brewing vessels for its east coast brewery in Asheville, NC.

WHAT: Rolling vehicle and pedestrian traffic delays along Smokey Park Highway and Haywood Road to Craven Street should be expected the second week in January, as New Belgium brewhouse vessels arrive to 91 Craven Street in West Asheville.

New Belgium’s 200 hectoliter brewhouse system departed from GEA Brewery Systems (GEA) in Kitzingen, Germany in mid-November and arrived to the NC State Ports Authority in Wilmington, NC in mid-December. All vessels will arrive to the Craven Street site by January 10. Through the month of January, GEA will be installing brewhouse vessels and tanks with a 300 ton crane.
