Here’s the press release from the governor’s website:
Governor Pat McCrory and First Lady Ann McCrory are inviting the public to enjoy the warmer weather during the annual Spring Open House at the North Carolina Governor’s Western Residence.
“We welcome you to visit this peaceful sanctuary that is a home for many species of wild birds, animals and plants, as well as a residence, event venue and nonprofit,” said First Lady Ann McCrory. “Just off the patio, is an ever changing painting of the rolling mountains and expansive sky; a view we want to share. Inside the residence, we invite you to take in the arts, décor and history.”
The Spring Open House, located at 45 Patton Mountain Road in Asheville, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14th. The public is invited and admission is free.
Visitors to the open house can enjoy homemade refreshments on the spacious patio overlooking a newly constructed fire pit area and breathtaking views of Mt. Pisgah, downtown Asheville and beyond.
The 6,000 square foot residence and open pavilion situated atop 18 acres of wooded grounds serves as a retreat for North Carolina governors and their families and houses government officials visiting the area on state business. It is also a magnificent meeting venue for local civic and cultural groups. This is going to be a cluster. Pat’s team might want to rethink the timing of this event. If I show up I will piss on the rug and tell Pat he’s an f-ing moron who is a disgrace to our state. I know I’m not alone. I’m looking forward to whatever kind of flashmob, sit-in/piss-in, or protest goes down there.
Can every transgender person in eastern north carolina please come to this and make sure drink a lot of water on the way.
Eggs and toilet paper for decorations.
Let’s go and pee all over the place…
I’m not gonna take my changes with the restrooms, so I’ll just be squatting a poop on the living room floor.
I thought about dressing ambiguously and enjoying the result.
Could you do a follow up on this and make some calls to the State Police and the Governor’s office to find out if they plan to have State Police, City of Asheville law enforcement or any other agency at the Open House to enforce the Bathroom law ?
Do we know if McCrory will actually be there? (I doubt it.)
I think it’s only fitting that we police the restrooms there for ne’er-do-wells threatening the integrity of our womenfolk.
Perhaps they could set up a booth for us to present our genitals for pre-verification?
Just wondering, after one has enjoyed a few of the refreshments at the Gov’s Western Residence open house needs to use the restroom, will they be gender specific?!
