As you can see from the images included below, several downtown streets will be barricaded, while others will have intermittent traffic control. It looks like Broadway will be the most affected.
Here’s the basic information from the permit:
Operating hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 7/30
Filming driving scenes for movie, involves specially rigged camera car/platform that will tow picture vehicle. As rigged, vehicles will take no more than one [lane] of traffic. There is a camera crane that will be mounted to the camera car that will swing out to the left or right of the vehicles to film side angles of actors ‘driving.’ Vehicles will drive east then west on Broadway. Camera car and towed picture vehicle will be prepped at 1st location (Pack Square) then escorted to Broadway.
(There will be streets with temporary traffic interruptions and full street closure)
Rolling roadblock on Broadway between Campus Dr and Catawba Street. ITC of intersections for turn arounds. Camera car/picture vehicle will be rigged in downtown Asheville then driven (with police escort) to Broadway to film
