Wanda offered it to me exclusively. Well, she put a little teensy, weensy, piddly classified ad in the back of some newspaper telling folks that Parcel #9649.19-50-0341 was for sale. It’s called an upset bid, and let me tell you I sure would’ve been upset if anyone had tried to steal my land from me by buying it! Around here, we don’t go in for that competitive model. We know people who know people and that’s how things get done. I know Bill and Wallace, and I know Wanda and the fellas on the Downtown Commission. I also dropped four large into Bill Russell’s campaign last year, so I could maybe have someone… um, sympathetic over there.
