The message boards of the local newsaper are, more often than note, filled with nasty name-called, hate-filled rants and plain old racist statements. But every now and then, there’s a juicy little nugget to be unearthed among the trash.
To wit, this comment, posted by someone calling themselves “Liberals sux.” We have no idea if it is true or not, but it sure sounds worth following up. The following comment was posted on a recent story about the recent controversy over a consultant’s report regarding the Asheville Police Department’s relationships with African-Americans in the community and inside the department:
Bellamy uses (or tried to) the APD for her own personal security force. She double parked at the Grove Park inn for a Demcorat fund raiser or something like that and blocked a guy in. He was from out of state visiting. So he could not get out so he took a marker and wrote on her windows what a idiot she was. I guess the truth must have hurt because she made a big enough deal to get the man arrested even though the police did not want to. She is a racist goon and the city got what it voted for.
