Magnetic Theatre announces auditions for next play

Steve Samuels of the Magnetic Theatre says there will be more news soon about the future of the Magnetic Theatre, which recently closed on Depot Street in the River Arts District. From Steve on FB:

I know it’s been quiet here lately, but there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, and there will be an additional announcement or two soon. Meanwhile, auditions this week for our next big show. See below!

The Magnetic Theatre Announces Auditions For The Caro Savanti Experience, by Jim Julien.

Directed by Katie Anne Towner, the show is a riotous look behind the scenes of culinary stardom (and megalomania) Darren Marshall stars as the troubled genius of modern cuisine–Caro Savanti! Centering around the filming of the pilot for Caro’s new celebrity cooking show, the play skewers foodie culture, tv shows and the fame obsessed.

Several male roles available.

Auditions Wednesday, May 1, from 6-8 p.m., and Saturday May 4 from 1-3 p.m. Monologues not required, sides will be provided. Please email Katie Anne Towner at kt@themagnetictheatre.org for more info and directions.
