Ashvegas is getting word that, along with the dozens of nursing moms who plan to protest at Denny’s in West Asheville on Sunday, there will be a couple of just plain topless protesters. We’re building toward one whale of a protest after Asheville mom Crystal Everitt says Denny’s asked her to leave when she was breastfeeding in the restaurant a couple of weeks ago.
Everitt has demanded an apology, and none has been forthcoming from Denny’s.
So look for the Abbott and Costellos to be out in full force on Sunday. The flapdoodles are gonna fly. Every mama with a good pair of God’s milk bottles within 200 miles of Asheville is going to show up, it sounds like. Num-nums and nay-nays will be the order of the day at Denny’s. I can’t wait to see some people get arrested for showing their squashies.
Personally, I don’t care what you do with your neeners. Bring ’em on. Come one, come all, with your coconuts and your jahoobies. Let’s have a protest!

I was at a party tonight and a woman was feeding her baby. I told her I was offended and asked her to leave.
It was actually rather beautiful. People are weird. I hope this dies down soon so I don’t have to hear breastfeeding compared to defecating, urinating or flatulence anymore.

First off…be careful when you make references to women "showing their squashies", you may get something that lies below the belt.
Second, I wonder how many perverts will accompany the mommies this weekend?
Showing the "squashies" is perfectly legal, so that can’t really be an issue..
Trespassing is another story, however…but that’s up to the property owner to pursue.
