Justin Bieber is a lucky mascot for the Asheville Tourists baseball team this season, reports Keith Jarrett of the Asheville Citizen-Times. Here’s a tidbit:
It all began as a joke early this season when the team began playing Bieber’s song “Never Say Never” in the clubhouse after every win.
As the wins piled up – the Tourists won the South Atlantic League’s Southern Division title in the first half with a 47-23 mark – the team adopted the song as its go-to tune.
Outfielder Tyler Massey bought the large poster cutout, and a new star was born.
“He’s become our mascot,” said outfielder Brian Humphries. “Sometimes we take him out to the dugout with us, put a jersey on him, and we take him on the road. He’s one of us.”
Can the Beebs take the Tourists all the way to a league crown? We’ll see. Meantime, check out Bieber on the cover of Rolling Stone. And the 10 things EW says it learned about Bieber from his Rolling Stone interview.

Never say Beebs
I just ripped the cover off the new Rolling Stone and trashed it. So sick of him.
