Just a few issues

Loyal reader Cameron passed us a rather detailed e-mail that he sent our WLOSer friends. Below are a few excerpts. Cameron, did they ever respond?

I would love to see WLOS present editorials on the issues facing our area. You are ‘the only game in town’ North of Greenville & South of Knoxville….surely your management could look at the critical issues facing our region and TAKE A STAND.

… The level of incompetence revealed by any rational review of your meteorologists is mind-numbing. Mike Cuevas should take some of his ‘matching tie & hanky’ budget and get some voice lessons. I call him ‘chalk’ because of the sounds he makes when excited. … And he sounds like ‘Paul Lynde’ when he says ‘chilly’… which creeps into nearly every report from September through April. (‘Cold’ works just fine.)

Julie Wunder is ‘cute’ & does a passable job as a Saturday news anchor & ‘Pet Pal’ specialist. It is
peculiar that the only thing she is absolutely clueless at is WEATHER. (Just where did she receive her meteorolgical certification? I do not believe The University of Florida can possibly be at fault.) Ms. Wunder averages 6 major errors in every weathercast. Directions are wrong…temperatures are mis-read…..and those strange phrases ‘thoughout the area’ or ‘throughout parts of’ rarely make weather or English sense. Perhaps if SOMEONE in management would speak to her…

Thank you for your time. I hope my comments will be viewed as constructive & sincere
Cameron

"rational reviews" don’t complain about people sounding like Paul Lynde….

Knock on Cuevas all you want. It’s a free country.

Just don’t try and act like its an objective, rational review instead of personal invective.
