Sounds like a fun event. Press release here:

All in a swirl of 18th-century Venetian ball, with perhaps a touch of d’Artagnon and his Three Musketeers mystique and the curious whispers of Captain Jack Sparrow’s lighthearted pirate whimsy – the Junior League of Asheville is bringing back their popular Masquerade to Asheville on Friday, October 28, at The Venue on Market Street from 7 PM – Midnight in downtown Asheville.
“Masquerade in Midtown” is good fun for a good cause, and is one of only two major annual fundraisers that support the beneficial work of the Junior League of Asheville in the community. The Junior League of Asheville is a volunteer, non-profit women’s organization that has been serving the Asheville area and surrounding communities since 1925; it is part of a larger, international organization that boasts more than 160,000 members worldwide. Past Junior League local projects that have greatly impacted the Asheville area over the years include, among many others, the WNC Nature Center, W. C. Reid Center for Creative Arts, and the Pack Place Arts and Science Center.
With something for almost everyone, “Masquerade in Midtown” will deliver plenty of entertainment – aerial acrobats performing daring feats throughout the evening, jazz musicians charming listeners with the effortless sounds of an intimate jazz club, and a rockin’ DJ cranking up the heat so the high-energy ladies and gents can get their dance on.
Tickets are available now and are $50 per person in advance, $60 week of the event. For more information, please visit www.juniorleagueasheville.org or call 828-254-5608.
