Jackson Underground Cafe, one of my favorite downtown eateries, has news. Here it is:
The Jackson Underground Café, located in the historic Jackson Building at 22 S. Pack Square, has started a new delivery service. The locally owned, independent sandwich shop offers free delivery to most of the downtown area during the hours of 11:30am – 2:30pm. The service is free, and the minimum for delivery is only $6.00.
The owners, Steve and Elizabeth Osterholz, say “there are many people working downtown who, for one reason or another, can’t get out of the office for lunch. Our goal is for these people to become valued customers just as those who frequent our place for dine in and carry out service already are.”
All items except breakfast sandwiches are available for delivery.
Their full menu may be viewed online at www.JacksonUndergroundCafe.com. Call 255-8585 for more information or to place an order.

I told them it was under a mile (Google Maps says it’s only .5) and they said "well, we’re really busy." Too busy to gain new "valued customers?" Good luck with that, Jacks-U…
