Representatives of U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton contacted local leaders today about bringing her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination to the GOP stronghold of Henderson County Friday, multiple sources said.
Sen. Clinton will be addressing the crowd from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Main Street at the newly renovated historic courthouse Friday, said Barbara Volk, Hendersonville Mayor Pro Tem.
Secret Service officials have contacted local law enforcement officers concerning a possible visit by the former First Lady and/or possibly other members of the Clinton family.
