BM (what a fun little acro) – I mean that lovingly… I was born in the great state of North Cackilackey – not AVL, but Southern Pines. I was raised in Savannah, GA & Winter Park, FL. I went to AVL with no job, no place to live, knowing nary a soul. I just moved to Brooklyn 2 days ago, but I hope I left something good behind in Asheville. So, yes – I am a transplant, but I do defend AVL like a mother bear over a cub. It is my adopted home & I will be back. Especially when I have to defend her from those horn-laying, highway clogging, give nothing & take everything freakers from the land of FLA. Bitter? Yes. Rightfully so? Definitely. If you’ve ever worked downtown, you’d know why we all ABHOR Floridians. That’s my 2 cents – take it or leave it.

And how pray tell, did YOU get here? I am always amused at making fun of the tourists and transplants, but only because I am a native… part of that dying and disrespected breed….

Why do people take these idiotic photos? When I lived in NYC and had an office that overlooked part of Times Square, I would literally see thousands of photo flashes going off per hour. It was so bad, I had to move a file cabinet to block the view of 7th Ave so I could concentrate.
What do people do with those pictures?
Dammned if I know.
