Celebrating Day One open on Haywood Road, Biscuit Head brings decadent down-home cooking to West Asheville.
This place is the 12 Bones of biscuits, serving tender halved cathead biscuits (gluten-free for a dollar more) served open face on a tin plate, covered with fried green tomatoes and brie with smoked tomato hollandaise, or pulled pork, maple syrup and bacon, or other options including eggs, cheese and fried chicken. It’s intense, it’s tasty, and it’s a LOT of food. There’s a Gravy of the Day (the “G.O.D.”) and a Bacon of the Day (the “B.O.D.”), written with other daily options on a bright chalk menu behind the counter. There’s also bar stocked with nothing but biscuit condiments, including strawberry butter, local jam, and sweet potato butter.Westvilleans have a hella new brunch option, one that comes complete with grapefruit mimosas, patio dining and a biscuit-centered menu that includes brisket biscuits, country ham biscuits, and blackeyed pea-cake biscuits with pozole and green chile hollandaise.Parking is ample next to the Isis, and the service, again like 12 Bones, is smooth and fast, at least on my initial visit. And I WILL be back.Closed Tuesdays, serving breakfast, lunch and brunch only, 7 a.m.- 2 p.m. daily.Website http://www.biscuitheads.com/Biscuit Head on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/biscuitheadsOpening day Flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jennifernc/sets/72157633658221238

I bet they are better then tupelo honeys Sysco mix biscuits!
I was really disappointed to see that they don’t have a taco biscuit on the menu…
It was delicious and the five extra pounds was worth it.
Ate there for lunch today… had the chicken and biscuit and the brisket biscuit (fun to say!). Both were delicious!
I’m pretty sure they’re closed on MONDAY not Tuesday!!
Sophie, their Facebook page says Tuesday is their closed day. Will check when I can.
Sure enough, it looked full on Tuesday. Guessing Monday really is their closed day.
WOW, what an awesome web site. That alone adds credibility to this new venture. A solid enjoyment and I can’t wait to eat there…
