Got a vacant lot in Asheville? New urban think tank, Vacant_AVL, wants to talk about filling it

Share

Vacant_AVL will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday to start talking about creative uses for vacant and under-utilitized lots in Asheville. It’s being led by Douglas Hecker, a Clemson University architecture professor and resident of Asheville. More:

Do you think there are too many VACANT and UNDERUTILIZED parcels of land in Downtown Asheville?

Would you like to see INNOVATIVE proposals and discuss ideas with a team of researchers and designers on how to use this land for the benefit of the community?

IF YOU ANSWERED YES_to either question above then maybe you should join US* for the opening of VACANT_AVL on Friday January 13th. We have lots of ideas.

IF YOU ANSWERED NO_maybe you should just come anyway. You’re bound to have an interesting conversation over a glass of wine.
