If you’re going to the RiverLink/New Belgium RiverMUSIC series, here’s an update from Riverlink on guidelines for the summer series.
Please read the parking and transportation section of this blog post, especially about where not to park, and about not crossing the railroad tracks. To clear up a little confusion from last week’s show: We cannot allow dogs (Health Department regulation) or outside food and alcohol.***Transportation, Parking:There will be parking available in several lots near the event, and there are several places attendees should definitely not park.
Parking is available at the current Stockyard property (soon to be New Belgium Brewing) at 157 Craven Street (map). Folks parking there can walk across the Craven Street Bridge and cut across the grassy field adjacent to the bridge to access the concerts.
Directly across the street from this lot, overflow parking is available in the dirt lot at the corner of Craven Street and Emma Road, at approximately 168 Craven Street (map). Please note this is an undeveloped piece of property and will only be used if needed.
Parking is permissible in the big field across the street from the old Ice House at approximately 77 Riverside Drive (map), adjacent to the concert grounds. Attendees parking in this lot can access the concerts via a trail leading from the parking lot to the concert grounds. A RiverLink volunteer will be on hand to help.
Parking is also available in the big green lot beside Curve Studios (map) — but definitely not at Curve Studios.
We’re working to find more parking areas, but these are the locations we have available at this time.
Places not to park, things not to do
Parking is not allowed in the parking lots of 12Bones (map), Curve Studios (map), White Duck Taco Shop (map), or Wedge Brewing Co. (map).
Please note: Under no circumstances should anyone cross the railroad tracks. If coming from the Wedge to the concert or vice-versa, walk to Lyman Street and cross the tracks there. Norfolk Southern will have security personnel onsite, and they have the authority to arrest trespassers.
Please note that unapproved parking on private property may result in towing and unapproved parking on-street may result in towing.
