Friday is the deadline to be a 2013 Go Local Card biz

Own a local business? The Go Local card is a win-win: Card sales benefit local schools, and offering discounts get you the support of Asheville and the Asheville Grown community, plus you get a free mention in the 2013 Go Local Guide, printed up by Mountain Xpress.

If you’re a local business owner and you want to be part of the Go Local program in 2013, just sign up here. (It’s free, and there are no strings.)

Friday, Oct. 26 is the last day to sign up to be a 2013 Go Local business, so don’t put off signing up.

Learn more about the 2013 Go Local program here. Sign up here.

In a nutshell, you must be authentically local, and offer a discount to people who use the card. Honestly, that’s pretty much it

The criteria for all businesses that participate in the program are:

* Independent and at least 50% owned in Buncombe County, North Carolina with no headquarters outside of our region.
* Free to make their own business decisions without the need for approval by owners or affiliates outside of the area. Regionally located and have a limited number of outlets.
* Not registered as a franchise or publicly owned corporation.

Love Asheville. Go Local.
