Here’s the story from the Hendersonville Times-News:

Former U. S. Rep. Charles H. Taylor will again host his annual dinner in Asheville.

The event is one of the largest sit-down dinners in the state with usually over 1000 people attending, Taylor says. “Christmas is a wonderful time for people to get together and to see the sights of the Grove Park Inn,” he said.

Taylor said “all potential candidates for the 11th Congressional District of North Carolina attending the dinner will be introduced and will have an opportunity to address the crowd.

Taylor announced today that the 18th annual Holiday Dinner will be held at the Grove Park Inn at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12.  Taylor said invitations have been mailed and people are being contacted.

North Carolina Republican Chairman Tom Fetzer will serve as Master of Ceremonies.  Fetzer, former mayor of Raleigh, says he “feels this is an exciting time for conservative candidates.”  North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler will give the keynote address.

I wonder whether Taylor will even know he is there or why.
