Firehouse Subs, Papa John’s Pizza coming to Patton Avenue

Share

Firehouse Subs and Papa John’s Pizza are both coming to a new shopping center under construction on Patton Avenue near its intersection with Haywood Road. The new shopping center is called Park Terrace. It’s being built by Pulliam Properties.

Seems like Asheville has been blowing up with chain restaurant news: Chick-fil-A on Merrimon, Moe’s on Merrimon and Another Broken Egg in Biltmore Park are just three of the most recent ones I can think of, all in just the past couple of weeks. I say bring it. Bring it all on.

More low wage jobs on a corridor where the DOT ignores the needs of those who have to get there on foot, by bike or on a bus. Ugh.

So there will be 2 Papa John’s on Patton now? Or will the one by the bowling alley close?

What a bunch of Garbage, Why even promote this when there are good real local Italian families making amazing pies like Marco’s in the area? It always pisses me off and shows the intelligence level of my neighbors when I see popa johns or pizza hut delivery guys, unbelievable, so sad to see this corporate gmo infested crap supported

Papa Johns ain’t good pizza, but you have to acknowledge that it is about 1/3 the price of Marcos. Maybe the problem isn’t “intelligence” but income.

Could people be a little more rude? I regularly support local businesses and restaurants – I love Marco’s – but I also order pizza from Papa John’s and Pizza Hut. Nothin’ like calling people stupid based on WHAT KIND OF PIZZA THEY EAT. Goodness.

Rusty Pulliam sure is on a building spree … Tunnel Road K-Mart location, Hendersonville Road K-mart location, the new 180 apartments behind McCormick field, this new “shopping center” on Patton …

It’s about time West Asheville got some nice things se we can work toward no longer being seen as “the wrong side of the bridge.” Seems like for the longest all the new development or improvements happened in South Asheville by default.

Nice things?

I generally avoid jumping on the “I hate chains” bandwagon, but I just don’t think a chain or franchise restaurant fits in with the character of West Asheville. Besides, there are several new locally-owned places moving there as it is. I don’t see West Asheville as anything near neglected.

I’m guessing that the Papa Johns on Patton is just moving to this new location?
