“My favorite thing is to gather together family and friends around a table to share a delicious meal in celebration of community and our many blessings. When considering our annual Thanksgiving event this year, we decided that we wanted nothing more than to invite the entire Asheville family to join us for a holiday meal and give thanks for the beauty, generosity, and spirit of this incredible city that we call home. My hope is that we can provide a warm, nourishing meal for our Thanksgiving guests and raise money and awareness for the important work being done by Homeward Bound’s Room In the Inn program – one of the many vital community groups in our region providing support and assistance to those in need. I hope you’ll join us!” said Traci Taylor, co-owner of FIG Bistro.

“We’re so excited to partner with FIG this Thanksgiving to raise not only funds for an important program for homeless women in our community, but also awareness. Too many women in our community won’t be celebrating Thanksgiving in their own homes this year, because they’re homeless, and that’s exactly what we’re addressing at Homeward Bound through programs like Room in the Inn. We can’t do it alone though, and we’re so grateful to FIG for stepping up through this event to be part of the solution to homelessness here,” said Emily Ball, Director of Community Engagement for Homeward Bound of WNC.
