Election update #4: Eating up ‘Heath’

There are two sandwiches on the menu at the Dripolator in downtown Ashvegas, reports Edgy Mama. One is the “Charles,” the other is the “Heath.” Here’s what she reports:

I just finished eating a “Heath” sandwich at the Dripolator in Ashvegas. In honor of Election Day, the Dripo is featuring two special sandwiches: The “Charles”—fried egg on multigrain bread with cheddar, bacon, and mayo. The “Heath”—fried egg on multigrain bread with cheddar, bacon, tomato, and mayo.

The point is, clearly, that tomato is the sole difference between the two candidates. I asked the barista what the tomato signifies. The only answer he could come up with was “the Road to Nowhere.” Which is a pretty good one.

He said they’d sold a bunch of the special sammiches, but almost all have been the “Heath.” He had no idea whether this was a political choice or a tastebud choice. I mentioned that the thought of eating “Charles,” despite the fact that it’s basically the same sammich, might make me barf today.

Of course, as I was eating “Heath,” my tomato slipped out of the sandwich and splatted on the floor.
