Being part of the Bele Chere clean-up crew must really suck. Look at what they have to deal with.
The city really should do more to set out more garbage cans for the fesitval, and more locations for people to recycle. Every can I saw at 5 p.m. Saturday was beyond overflowing.
The city workers I talked with that were loading this truckload of empties had a good attitude, though. They were just slinging the sloppy mess and joking with passersby. More power to you guys – it’s amazing how messy, dirty and careless festival crowds are.
