The CEO and the keg boy walking through our new space in lower downtown Asheville.
@Brewgasm Yep found a space for our pilot room. Will have a 1 bbl test system there in a few months. Still looking for production farm.
Anne-Fitten Glenn (aka Brewgasm), the former beer writer for the Mountain Xpress, wrote back in May that Burial Beer Co. is a project of longtime home brewer Doug Reiser, his spouse Jessica Reiser, and Tim Gormley, currently a brewer for Sound Brewery in Seattle, Wash.
The three planned to move from Seattle to Asheville this fall to start a new brewery.
They’re currently working with a local real estate agent to purchase land, in the city or nearby, that will support an urban farm, the brewery and a public taproom. The idea is that the farm will produce fruits, vegetables and herbs used in the beer, such as sweet potatoes, pears and raspberries.
Douglas Reiser Tweeted this today, linking back to this post:

Looks like she’s in 40 Collier Ave. So definitely in that South of Hilliard area.
where is “lower downtown” Asheville?
don’t know, Jeff. will ask …
Banks/buxton/collier avenue area. Aka south slope, southside, the “new fringe.”
Gotcha.
SoHi(south of Hilliard)
Oh, can we please not do that annoying real estate name thing?
Too late. I think it’s done. This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it mentioned.
So lame. Everybody in every other town has already done the abbreviated street nickname BS, can’t we do better than that? Maybe we could call it “AboSoSi,” = Above Southside.
